Theta Nu Sorority
Theta Nu is one of the six local sororities on Otterbein University’s campus. Our sorority’s colors are purple and white, while our mascot is the deer. Theta Nu was nicknamed the Greenwich Club back in 1917 when Greek names were not allowed on Otterbein’s campus. Therefore our nicknames on campus are the Greenwich Girls, and the Violets. Theta Nu’s motto is Artes Honorabit (She Shall Honor the Arts); our girls do a lot of work with our philanthropy, Mid-Ohio Food Bank. We make sure to stay involved in giving back to our community through annual fundraisers such as donating cans to W.A.R.M., volunteering for the Spring Plunge, or walking around Otterbein for Relay For Life. In 2013, Theta Nu received Greek Chapter of the Year Award as well as the highest Academic Achievement award on campus. We have been known for our dedication to our studies, while also remaining involved around campus. Our sisters are involved in various activities around campus such as, OCF, theatre, art, cheer leading, sports teams (lacrosse, soccer, volleyball), Board of Trustees, and many more, along with having majors that range from theatre, to nursing, to athletic training. Although we all are different in our own little ways, Theta Nu girls all have one thing in common, the love of an amazing sisterhood.
